Honored Posted on November 2, 2014 by .

Nine months ago today, Kade was born. Everyday he learns something new and in return I, too, learn something new. There are many different ways to be a Dad. So many different influences in a man’s life that contribute to how he will live and teach those around him to live.

As I watch my son tear into a magazine and try and consume the articles by hand to mouth, I’m reflecting back on these 9 mths. What have I done to help prepare myself to be a Dad? For starters, I’ve tried to be more active in the Dad groups out there via social media. Just like everyday life, they too seem to constantly be moving and hard to keep up with. I started this blog to share with other new, and old, Dads a different view on things. Maybe the stuff others dare to say publicly. Maybe the stuff that gets consumed with the overwhelming joys of parenthood. But mostly, I started this site to have something to look back on. The experiences that make us who we are can be a great learning tool for others. Each Dad has their own path they took to Fatherhood and sometimes it’s entertaining to read others’ voyage.

A couple months back, I was contacted by @Dadofdivas who runs a Dadblog as well. He’s been a very busy man. Not just with his own life, but showcasing other dads out there. I had the pleasure to answering some of his questions about being a dad, which he then posted to his Dads in the Limelight series. I’ve been following the series ever since. There are some great Dads out there. I am truly honored to be included in this great list of Dads.

That pretty much sums up being a Dad for me at this point. Honored. Honored to be the man in my sons life he can look up to and honored to be a dad in the limelight.

As always, thanks for reading!
