Feeling the Love Posted on June 22, 2014 by .

I know a few posts ago,  I said I was not a fan. Well, I’m starting to feel it now. You know, that “feeling” people talk about? It only took like 13 weeks but I’m on track now! I’m not sure if it’s the personality coming in or seeing his first teeth break through. Although, I think it really hit me when he laughed out loud. You know, like a real laugh? It’s like I finally recognize him as a little human! The “Newborn Phase” feelings have vanished and I’m totally in love with the lil’ man.

Coming home from work is no longer greeted with a frustrated wife and a crying baby. Now, it’s a happy wife with a lil’ dude jumping up and down in his exersaucer, smiling and screeching when I walk through the door. Nothing can stop a smile on your face when you are greeted by your own child who now recognizes you and gets excited when they see you. THIS is what people talk about. THIS is that feeling I wasn’t connecting with in the earlier months. THIS is why having kids is so wonderful.

I now look forward to coming home and spending time with my son. It was tough times before, but that is all behind us now. I can see the light to the fun times ahead. Everyday I see how he has learned something new or reacts differently to things. Kade is starting to become who he is, and its fantastic to witness it all.
